Cecily, Reggie and Wilf - three members of a famous operatic Quartet - now live in a home for retired opera singers.

Each year, on the tenth of October, the Home gives a concert to celebrate Guiseppe Verdi's birthday.

But when Reggie's ex-wife Jean - the fourth member of the Quartet - arrives at the home, she refuses to take part to recreate their most famous musical piece.

The show must go on, of course, but how? And with what result ?
