Emily Baines shares a bed-sitting room in a retirement home with her new room-mate May Brewer. Emily believes her previous friend Bella, was murdered for her money by Sally, one of the carers, along with ageing sex-symbol Vernon Watts. Her evidence disappears and Bella’s ring is found in her possessions. Increasingly forgetful, the finger of suspicion is pointed at her and it is not until May is attacked that the truth comes out.
