The Sunshine Boys

A comedy by Neil Simon

The famous vaudeville team of Lewis & Clark, otherwise known as The Sunshine Boys - despite working together for 43 years - couldn't stand each other. More importantly, they haven't spoken to each other since Al Lewis walked out into retirement 11 years ago, leaving Willie Clark, a die-hard New York showman, to soldier on alone: as half a double act, that's not easy..................

The attempts by Ben, Willie's nephew and agent, to get the obstinante duo back together one last time for a CBS 'History of Comedy' Special makes for one of the greatest comedies by one of the greatest American comic writers; but, as with all great comedy, the pathos isn't that far away.

Waters of the Moon

A play by N. C. Hunter

A comedy, full of atmosphere and that kind of characterisation which pulls at the heart strings. There is a nostalgic quality in this story of a group of frustrated guests in a remote hotel on the edge of Dartmoor in themiddle of winter. The uneventful life of the hotel guests is suddenly broken by the unexpected arrival of Mr & Mrs Lancaster and their daughter, whose car has broken down on the way to a New Year's Party.

Because of the heavy snow they have to stay at the hotel for some days and completely disrupt the previous, serene (at least on the surface) atmosphere.
