History
The Players Drama School was founded in 1994 by Debbie Carter, to teach children acting, dancing and singing and the confidence to express themselves both on and off stage.
Today
The School has gone from strength to strength, and Debby regularly has over one hundred pupils enrolled in her Saturday and Wednesday evening workshops.
Several former students have gone into professional theatre, including Helen Modern in the new Bad Girls series for ITV.

Certificate and LAMDA exams
At the end of each year pupils get a certificate to say they have completed a year’s course.
Students may also enter London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art or LAMDA exams. LAMDA exams are the industry benchmark achievement awards and go from a very low level right through to diploma level.
Shows
Every year the school puts on its own show with parts for all students who wish to participate. There are parts for dancers, actors and singers as well as places for students keen to try their hand at back stage skills. This could be anything from helping build the set to learning to manage a complex lighting system.
