The Drama Societies
There are five societies that regularly use the playhouse to put on performances and they are always looking for new people to get involved. If you suffer from stage fright, don't worry because there are many jobs that where you can make your mark behind the scenes. Preston Drama Club PDC began producing plays in 1933 at Bairstow Street School, Avenham, Preston. More>>
Broughton players take their name from the Broughton Institute, Whittingham Lane, where the group began in 1945. More>>
Grimsargh players can date their formation to 1927. However, it was in 1947 that the Grimsargh Players as we know them today were formed. More>>
Preston Gilbert and Sullivan Society was founded in 1954, with the aim of keeping the great comedy and music of Gilbert and Sullivan alive. More>>
